Kitchen Tip Tuesday..

My tips is to keep 2 freezer containers.

I keep 1 container in my freezer for veggie peelings, onion skins, broccoli stalks and other parts that you would otherwise discard. When it comes time to make chicken broth, I throw the veggie scraps in there and make my broth, it's always delicious and rich.

The second freezer container holds those bits of leftover veggies that don't get eat. I hate it when there's only a tablespoon or something left. So I chuck them in my container and when it's full we have a veggie soup for either lunch or dinner. Paired with my homemade chicken stock (from the bones and veggie scraps) it's a super cheap, if not free meal!
